Research theme

Symbolization and learning.

Learners’ activity is studied from the perspective of the course-of-action theory (Theureau, 2004, 2006) : analysing an activity implies describing the history of his subjective experience. Intuitive and symbolic processes are characterized, with the aim of understanding some learning difficulties in relation with the development of symbolization in school.
